Take a photo copy of it if you have your bike or truck licence otherwise you may lose your entititlment to drive them a mate of mine lost his bike because of there mistake and they wouldn't give it back without proof

Well, you are talking about a drivers license, having a photo of yourself on it.

Here they last 5.

They should last for life, as they used to.

All part of the control and submission of the serfs.

If you don't tow the line, you can't drive, travel, use your bank account etc etc. Look a Snowden, stranded in the USSR, for telling the truth, invalidated passport. We have soooo many things to thank the yanks for!~!

However, be that as it may, I thought for a moment you needed a license to take photos, and I really was getting rumbling and ready to, well, shoot!

From what I've read a photocopy isn't legal proof and will be useless, too easy to fake. I think the only way to stand any chance should anything go wrong, is to take your license to a magistrate or similar and get them to sign to confirm it all. There was a long thread on a bike forum years ago.

I'd read on one of the bike forums, that you cut the corner off your old licence, not sure how it worked now

You can get it done at PO they take new pic and you get I back in 3days or so.. Swmbo did hers that way as left it until the last minute
.. If you have renewed your passport in last 5 year you can also do it on line and they use your passport photo..
