Thumbs up New Tax Code = More Wonga !!

Been given a new Tax Code of 944L (Nope not a Porsche!!)

Now got £70 extra in my Paypacket this Month - Not a massive amount I know, but who cares............

Filled my Tank up on the V6 - £80.

Everybody Wins..........

Not really no.

The way I look at it is this, no matter how much you have, you gonna pay Tax.

So, the more you have, the more Tax you give. The more Tax you give, the more teh Economy benefits.

Now, granted, £70 reduction in my Monthly Tax = the Gov't getting £70 less Tax. But, here is the bonus. The Economy gains, because I spent £70 more than I normally could afford. Granted it was Fuel, but it could have been Tesco or the Local butchers......Its neither here nor there where I spend it.

If my £70 = £70 Million countrywide, that means that the Economy benefits from a £70 Million boost which in turn means everyone benefits.

Maybe I am naive or looking at it the wrong way. But I had a smile on my face filling up my Tank

Does this apply to everyone? I thought I had paid more than normal this month!? I will have to have a look at my wage packet from last month and this.

Hiya Phil.,

Not sure mate, I am on Peasant Wage.........I mean Minimum Wage.

Don't know how they do it nowadays Last Months was 810L now I got 944L

I work a set 40 Hour week too (My Employer wont pay Salary as they don' t benefit from it)

TBH Phil, I doubt the Tax office do either mate

Your Tax Code is on your Payslip

It will be a 3 Digit number followed by a letter, unless your Bankrupt then its 3 letters Not that I am implying your Bankrupt..........

Poop I seriously need to not drink on a Monday...........

Seem to recall you can earn 10k before tax comes in now .

Could be wrong .

Seem to recall Osborne saying it in the budget speech blah blah blah.
