As a Man Utd fan since my dear old dad sat me down in 1968 and let me watch the European cup final , my opinion on this is " David who ?" he has gone , look to the future, I cant wait until the close season to see who is coming in and going out , next season its gonna be really exciting.....no champs league so what, use next year to build , as said before the title is on loan we will get it back next year....

Exactly. Get a real manager in. Give him the funds he needs. Get rid of the dead wood. Use next season to build the team and get back in the champions league without the distraction of European football.

All the next manager needs to do is get back in the CL. Its all moyes had to do.

I hope its Van Gaal as he is exactly what we need at this point in time. Someone with vast experience, a winning mentality and who will command respect and not suffer fools.

I think it is harsh to say he is a **** manger. He did a fantastic job at Everton with very little budget. I think the biggest problem with moyes was he was so used to playing one style of football, a style of football the current squad of United are not used to. A style that is not Manchester United. He lacked experience, he was never pushed with Everton to play attacking football so he only new one way to manage and didn't adapt.

A father with 11 kids decides he is going out for a while and asks his friend to come in and look after the kids. After their dad leaves the kids begin acting up and not behaving for their dad's friend, doing their best to get him to leave. Eventually the kids force their dad's friend out of the house, the eldest child takes over to calm things down until the end of the season when Manchester United begin their search for another manager.
