Frustrated? I bet he is jumping for joy at the sentence he received. yea he lost his job too but the officers actions are a complete abuse of position and the sentence was too lenient.

Lets replay this:
The officer gets allegedly gets bitten when trying to search her bag

her bag is on the floor so this happened when? a few mins before? wouldn't he be wearing gloves after just being told he was searching an aids carriers belongings?

Despite how people feel about the woman (and I agree she does appear to be from the gutter)
The video shows her refusing to offer her hands once the officer reaches for his cuffs. The officers next actions are not that of detention or reasonable force but are actions of of out and out assault.

I fail to see how this is 'not as bad' as the South African police video linked. The woman was indoors and fairly secured. the S.A. arrest was a completely different scenario - Not right but a different situation altogether. On average over 100 South African Police officers are killed every year whereas there have been just six UK police deaths in the last ten years.

in 1996 I was fortunate enough to spend 4 months working along side the S.A police STF (special task force) and was involved with a hostage situation involving a baby. Each and every member of the task force deployed on this operation acted with total professionalism. the outcome was not great (for the hostage-taker), was dealt with tactically and the baby unharmed.

Please don't tar everyone with the same brush.
