Default Sudden decline in cold calls

We have had a sudden decline in cold nuisance phone calls. Apparently due to the sheer number of complaints, the one of the sources has been traced to a tiny office in Swansea who have been taken to task. Calls from the UK and around the rest of the world were coming in, then the callers number changed by this office.

We are down from around 5 a day, to maybe 1 or 2 calls per week.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Pleasing when it happens..they are a complete nuisance , more so when on shift work...And not wanting to appear racist why does "Brian , andrew or maureen from India " not use their real names ??

We hardly ever use our landline these days, we use mobiles and the landline doesn't have the phone plugged except when we want to make a call to an 0845 number...

We got calls on our new landline number (when we changed suppliers) the day it was installed despite it being ex directory etc. No one knew the number not even me, so they are just using auto dialers etc which should be banned,

They are breaking the law, but don't care and very little is done about it.

Afterall, a lot of people only have a landline because you can't get broadband without it, the days of landlines are numbered now anyway.

We use our landline quite a lot along with saynoto8070 to avoid the calls costs. I have a mobile, which now only gets rare use - I just carry it for emergencies and I only recall once having received a cold call on it. SWMBO carries two mobiles (why two I don't know, nor does she), she spends her life on them and she is often troubled by cold calls on them.

'They are breaking the law, but don't care and very little is done about it.'

Well they seem to have had an effect now and about time.

I have a call firewall app on my phone if your not in my contacts the calls are auto rejected
I did the simple thing on our landline of unplugging it from the wall as it was only the mother in law that used it
But its cheaper some how to keep the landline

This is the area code for London so it may be genuine. (probably not though).

throw the number into google, it will likely bring up results on who they are and if it has been marked as a nuisance call it should become apparent.
