I wonder if they offered the Bentley owners club members £1000 also?

tell em to trawl through Autotrader ads if they are stipulating such a low price.
Explain that our members are enthusiasts and despite there being cars available at their target price they will be in a rather poor state.

What they should be asking for is a high valued example in the best possible condition and the highest spec possible. their report should state:

"cars such as the Rover 75 can be had for as little as £1000, this one we have here is a cherished example belonging to an owners club member."

Anything other than doing this will not be a fair comparison against a car that you would struggle for change from £30,000. In fact it may well do the rover reputation more harm than good.

Also when you email them ask them why not the 260? its probable the researchers are unaware of their existence. then get on the twosixties site and find a supercharged owner.

Chaps for clarification.
The TV company is not looking to purchase the car but borrow it for the shoot. This being the case I do not imagine piano's will be par of the feature.

Thanks to those who have so far come forward

I think there is no finer automotive (is that an Americanism?) sight than a good number of our cars, all variants, colours, etc., all parked up together. Perhaps invite them to a meet and let them see a variety of our classy motors in a setting where they are being shown off against other marques. The Harewood (the Yarkshire one for those in doubt ) meet would be a good setting. There might be one or two Bentleys there as well that they could compare our oft described Baby Bentleys with.

Fred

That's a fantastic idea, they then could see the pride we take in our cars, see all the variants, and then compare them to the Bentleys and other marques that would be at the show, including the new cars from the delaers
