If you need all that for Sky World (and thus 3D) then we'll not be having that, as we're actually looking to downgrade our package, and save a few quid! TBH, as you say, the 3D isn't that important - we've watched a few films in 3D, but the fact is that, about ten minutes in, you forget it's there! HD on the other hand, has impressed me much more than I thought it would

Logged on to Sky's site and had an online chat with an advisor, who said that the free HD box will replace our SD box (which makes sense) and also confirmed what you have said that the recordings are available with the box that has the card in. As we get a brand new box and wireless link for free, we're going for it!

costs an extra tenner on your SD subscription for the HD channels
(sorry if this has been said before - its early)

Not to worry, we already have HD channels on the one box, but now we should be able to get them on both!
