I would imagine changed, I don't think you can service them as they are a sealed unit. I think the test will be to make sure there is no airbag warning light, I'm not too sure what else you can do to check it. Good point on the trailer lights test. I'm in that bracket, the previous owner fitted a towbar, I've no idea whether the connections work or don't in the 4 years I've owned the car I never towed with it once. |

It would come a time that the average member of the great unwashed puplic will not be able to **** in public or anywhere else for that matter, because a samplying sensor will detect it, match it up to a data base or a bar code, stamped on his behind at birth, issue a suitable fine, arriving on his desk before he even gets there, with a choice of payment, prison or execution by leather injection ( included in letter pack, should you choose it), all this of course will be for his health and safety, why you think I am kidding, just wait and see, its only a matter of time, me I am just paranoid, what can I do.

I've been told that the MoT test on the trailer electrics is only on the new 13 pin type and not the old 7 pin ones, so most of us can breath easy!
However it does mean that I've got to fix the airbag light which has been on for the last 2 years! It doesn't seem straightforward as I've fiddled with the under seat connectors to no avail. I recall a post a while back about some circuitry at the bottom of the door pillar that suffers from water but I can't find the post. Can anyone help please? Mick |

is this relevant? just because the actuator to lock/unlock the door is knackered does not indicate a fail. what about older cars without central locking?
