Default Drivers outer door handle

Hi all

My drivers outer door handle is in need of replacing and I have read somewhere that the glass has to be removed to change the handle.

I am aware of the need to move the clip in order to release the trim (thumb part of the handle)

Has anyone removed the complete handle with the glass in place?

Regards

Steveo

The outer chrome handle can be removed with the glass in place the thumb bit can be prized off but you may snap the two rear clips at the grooveImageUploadedByTapatalk1339107551.361762.jpg but if you are replacing it that does not matter as when you push the new one in it will push the broken bits out and click into place as for the handle that just slides back and out when the thumb piece is removed but if you wish to remove the lock part then the glass needs to come out hth steve

Thumbs up

Instead of just replacing them why don't you get them re-chromed http://www.classicsandchrome.co.uk/4.html this company is based at Hinckley Business Park Leicestershire.
