Default Under seat wiring

We know non UK models were fitted with a seat belt detector, were they fitted to both driver and passenger sides? Reason I'm asking is my 260 has the black wire and (smallish) black connector under the driver's seat but it also has a very similar looking wire (minus connector, end taped up) tucked under the heater vent under the passenger seat. Electric passenger seat works fine, I can't think what else the wire might be

Just curiosity, don't intend doing anything with either.

The pretensioners had switches on for those that had a seat belt warning light and the black plug you describe just plugs into it, I know some cars only had one fitted but no idea why

I'd never heard any mention of the wiring being present under both seats. As mentioned I have the wire/connector under the driver's seat and a very similar looking wire less connector under the passenger side, just wondering.

I've kinda answered my own question, had a look on Rimmers the pretensioner is available with detector for both LHD and RHD.
