Hi all
If it is of any help to anyone we here in North Essex have a deal set up with a custom painters nr Dunmow
I have two cars which both have custom wheel finishes completed by these guys, have been done for at least two years and still look as good as new, over 25 club cars have taken the plunge and we have no issues at all.
All paint colours are available from standard silver to house of colours special finishes,my TF being X power grey has,Xpower grey shadow chrome finish and the wifes copen being champayne has champayne diamond sparkle finish, dark centres fading to champayne chrome rims

Our 75 with 17 inch star spoke rims is booked in for late March to be done,
Costs start from about £30 per rim

If it is of any help....

Yes, they take an hour to fit but probably double that on your first go in most cases and that's if you get it right! I speak from experience as I am an authorised mobile fitter and supplier of AlloyGators.
Well sorry to burst your bubble mate but i managed to get a set of 5 for £50 last year and i`ve never fitted them before.Took me just over an hour to fit.Job done.

Be interested to see pics of your Star Spokes, especially so if you're going for a finish as close as possible to original.
Cheers

There is a video on You Tube on how to fit them by an expert and it does not look that complicated. I do not have the link but did see it when I was thinking of ordering them for LJW

How have you got on with the Gators Ray, do they do what they claim?

The only way you can get them for that price is direct from AlloyGator at a show. As I said, any cheaper by a retailer and when Curt, the owner of AlloyGator, see's the price he will have words! They retail with postage at £64.90 inc postage at the minimum and that's it. You did very well on your first go at just over an hour, so well done!

Again, like above, they retail at £64.90 INCLUDING POSTAGE. The Wheel Specialist are offering them at £59.95 but that is plus p+p taking them to the price stated above.

I don't understand why people like to try to prove people wrong on this forum sometimes, it seems some go out of their way to do this? I work very closely with Curt Rathbone, the owner of AlloyGator, as I am the only dedicated mobile fitter of AlloyGators in the country (and also one of the cheapest fitters in the country) so I am not making my facts up.

Are any of the powder coaters able to replicate an exact match of Silver Sparkle (MNH) of do they just coat them with a generic silver?
