Morning Mark
If you google powder coat colours there are 100s to choose from so I would think that one of them has got to come pretty close to Sparkle Silver..The wheel specialist do a range of factory finishes or maybe one of the high metalic finishes would be closer to Sparkle but I havn't studied them as I'll probably go for something non standard..
Cheers Ian

When I asked them, I didnt get a exact answer, but I think it is no, but they do lots of shades so I am sure you would get one near enough to not notice...

Re Redfive, I dont think anyone is questioning your intentions and I m sure we are all grateful for your efforts. I hear their finish is good, but then BV Engineering do the same proper process too.

I did have data protection issues with the Fareham branch a few years back.

On their side is if you are local then factoring cost of driving somewhere else, they could still hit the right price.

Personally I am never keen on companies that start high and then you can haggle them down very easily, reminds me of certain double glazing companies!

Thanks Richard, I did fear as much!

Thankfully (or not) I'm not currently in a position where I can afford to get them done yet, so have a little time to do some research!

I found them very effective to be honest. They take quite q bit of punishment and stand up to it really well.I`d recommend them to anyone who values there alloys.

Cool

I have booked Blue Thunder in to have her wheels done with the specialist in Bournemouth on This Friday. I will be attending the Bridgewater meet on Sunday. Photo's of the wheels before and after I will post next week.
Many thanks to Ian for going to the trouble to get this going and arranging the discount.

Terms of discount as below
(1) Discount is only available to subscribed club members
(2) This offer only applies to the Ferndown(Bournemouth) branch of The Wheel Specialist
(3) Members must contact Peter Newman on 01202 875553 [email protected] to get a quote for any work and then contact me by PM to get the discount code
Although they are normaly closed on Sundays Peter is happy to open one Sunday to host a local meet so that members can have a look around the premises and see the options for colour and finishes...Subject to interest I am happy to arrange a meet there in late April, probably a morning meet followed by lunch somewhere close by.
I hope in the future to arrange club discounts with other buisinesses in the area..
Cheers Ian
Hi Ian

Firstly, let me say how disappointed I was to read the overall reaction to your offer and what was obviously very time consuming on your part.

Although I am an avid club member on the forum, mobility issues make it difficult to take part in meets. That being said, I still have my opinion.

It takes time and effort to sort out, and offer to arrange discounts, and a possible visit. Unfortunately the topic of the post got a bit lost amongst other peoples her'say deals, and wheel protectors..

I would love to be able to attend meets (POOLE PARK ) but as I said, mobility issues dictate otherwise. Mobile members should be very grateful that not only can they attend, but someone like yourself are prepared to arrange.

Phew ! That's better. Got that off my chest. No offence meant to anybody but I do get a little upset when I see well intentioned efforts seemingly going down the plughole.

Well done Ian, keep up the good work, and if I do make a meet, any of you can come over and gime me a good kicking

I agrre 100% with Alf,s post, I live in Taunton around 12 miles from Bridgwater, but cannot attend as my role as Carer takes precedence, in saying that I hope the meeting is a great sucsess.

Well done Ian.

Got Blue Thunder back and the wheels look the dogs wot sits. The centre caps went a different colour so they have kept them to re-do. Ian has lent me a set for now. Once I have cleaned the car I will get some pictures posted via Pete.
I have collected some flyers from the company to give out at different events.

Thanks Pete.
The Centre caps are borrowed from Redfive. Mine are being re-done by the wheel specialist as they were not happy with the result. Collecting them later in the week.
Top picture is the refurbished wheel
2nd picture is the wheel before
And the last picture is Blue Thunder relaxing in the sun.
