I can not work out why you could not peel back the carpet once you have removed the side carpet kickers and lifted from the corner either side of the rear seat wished you had pm me or emailed me could have given you my phone number and talked you through it, thanks for returning the old one once here i will tick you off the returns list cheers Arctic Steve.

Default The Artic Handbrake compensator

Hi Dave
Received the unit , thank you. Fitted it yesterday. I also had quite a tussle with the carpet but by pushing it 'inside out' it gave me the space to work with. Also found that by removing the rear cables first the compensator can be pulled out under the console to remove the front cable retaining clip and cable end. Minimised risk of loosing the clip!
Handbrake now at 3 clicks.
Great work by you guys.

My old unit will be in the post tomorrow.

please send the old ones to me Steve Arctic not (Dave) as i dont know who he is yes you have to sort of push the corners of the carpet up and inside out just by the compensator plate well done both cheers Arctic.

Received both your compensators this morning thank you for keeping to the scheme of sending old ones back i am still waiting on 6 maybe the postman will knock again tomorrow all the best Arctic.

I'll get mine to you soon as I can, sadly I need the handbrake very firmly ON to work on my car either on my drive or on the road outside

Posted mine back to you Tues. afternoon Steve. As above carpet needs some solid encouragement and props to keep out of the way but then didn't cut any bits as in how to option. Handbrake very firm at moment

Thanks did you put your name on it so i know and your handbrake should stay firm now yes sometimes you can get away with not cutting the little piece of carpet under the console shame i did not find out how to do it before i buttered mine some you win as the saying goes all the best Arctic.

received your compensator this morning have crossed you off the returns list thank you for your co-operation most appreciated i see your compensator was really stretched equal 1st on the list that have been sent back 14mm when it should be 3mm . Arctic
