Seems to me that these days there are primarily 2 types of owners of the '75 & ZT:
With the increasing age of the model, numbers in the 2nd category are naturally declining which will inevitably leave just the enthusiasts in a few years time . 75s and ZTs are already a rare sight on the roads 'round my way, which is a real shame, but not altogether surprising given the age of even the youngest examples. On a more positive note though, it's reassuring to see such a strong "support network" in the form of clubs such as this one and the various Facebook groups. Long may they continue Cliff .

Time moves on and I no longer have a 75 as an everyday car. I'm keeping my ex press car saloon CDT as it wont take much to make her mint again. However, faithful diesel tourer with 271000 miles now will enjoy semi retirement. Just returned from Belgium with her despite having a nearly new 5 series I could have gone in!
Tatty ones like her will become rare. Is that yet another good reason to keep her on the road? Of course it is....... |

However i have noticed it is becoming rare to see others on the road these days, the most recent being a black tourer last week.

I sometimes wish I kept the green low mileage one, but at the end of the day, they're just tin and glass

Shes the Longbridge /BMW diesel i say that because the Rover engineers did a basic engine and changed the turbos with none swirl values, all MG-ROVER engineers did that, where as the BMW 1 series keep getting blown turbos the Rover 75 ones go on and on.., mines still the factory fitted Diesel turbo from Longbridge factory The car is amazing and in hard labour use.... soft spot for her shes seen all the kids grow up in her, the other cars have come and GONE the Rover 75 tourer has " STOOD THE TIME OF TIME" superb automobile.
