Default Big wake up call.

My Wife booked an appointment with her Doctor on the 15th Jan to report a tummy upset.
Doctor could not see her until 2nd Feb.
By the 18th Jan the pain was so severe, She asks me to drive her to the nearest hospital.
When we arrive she is examined by a duty nurse who immediately contacts the main city hospital to inform them she has a patient who she suspects has
Acute Cholecystitis….. I am told to drive her to the City hospital, 8 miles away from the local hospital.
By now she has been sick and was given a couple of sick bags to take with her.
On arrival she is examined again.
She is taken to a ward, given morphine, put on a drip with antibiotics and saline.
On the 23rd Jan she has her gall bladder removed.
On the 25th Jan I drive her back home to recover.
So here we are on the 3rd Feb.

Since the 18th Jan I have learned to shop at the local Super-store, managed to use 3 different types of parking/payment machines. Managed to use washing machine along with the drying machine. Had a crash- course in understanding the oven and grill controls and finding what the interior of the freezer had to offer me.
Oh, I Learnt to make scrambled eggs too!

She has told me she needs a month to rest and recover !! Not too bad for a pair of OAP's

Kev.

I wish her well on the recovery.
My wife had to do a video for me on how to set the alarm clock, a washing machine, that would blow my mind

Cool

Wishing your wife a speedy recovery.

When my late wife was in hospital I had to teach myself on the various jobs to be done. Cooking was not a problem but doing the washing was. I soon learnt the hard way not to mix the coloureds with the whites.

I think this applies to most of us, I don’t think any of us appreciates the work our wife’s do, washing, ironing, cooking, shopping, even packing for our holidays, and what about getting the children ready for school, so look after them if they decide to go on strike all will be lost.
