My new neighbour at our boat mooring
Ros and I took charge of our new motor cruiser and moorings on the Norfolk Broads yesterday.

While it looks lovely, I would want something with an engine

Be a bit dark inside innit.. lol.
But seriously, if that has no motor, then manoeuvring on that river will be an absolute nightmare. !!!! ... |

That's only the mooring dyke, it leads in to a much larger body of water

That's a lovely photo and a lovely setting that just typifies the broads at there best. If that's there home mooring, a setting that suits there boat. As you will find Jeff there's a photo opportunity at every turn of the river. As and when you over night on board, (if not already done so) then have the camera to hand at dawn and dusk where the light can do some amazing things. I can see yourself accumulating quite a portfolio of broads photographs, (might be worth setting up a post for them!) Re engineless yachts, they tend to have such a vast sail area compared to seagoing yachts that they can do most things under sail. When they can't the shallow nature of most of the rivers means they can "punt" the boat around with huge oars. Expertly done it is a sight to behold... |

I'm still a novice at boating and identifying boats though, so I'll leave that to those that know considerably more than me
