Default Don`t forget the water!

In summer when we have had little rain and it`s hot like the past few days....I always place a dish filled with water outside on the lawn for the birds.
I had a fiberglass birdbath but lost that so just now till I find another I`m using an old Pyrex casserole dish.
They need to drink
Ken.

It's amazing how they know where to look!, we have one of those plastic bases you fill with water for weight for the umbrella that goes through the patio table, The plug doodah is missing & I saw sparrows drinking from the hole in the top of the base.

Shows how dire their need is .

I have a tap on my allotment that drips so they stick their beak under it .

I would love to put bird feeders and bird baths in my garden but then.........so would my cats

Luckily other neighbours have feeding places and baths around me so the birdies are looked after and my cats don't get a free lunch

LOL Same here Jeff, I don't let ours out this time of year because we have a few nesting birds in our trees. they'll have to wait until they've flown.

We have a sheep trough - and yes, birds drink from it more often than the sheep/lambs.

My pond, and the dog water bowl see's to their drinking and bathing needs.

The wife is always feeding the birds, as does the neighbour across the back fence.

Our Mutt puts any neighbourhood cats to flight.......... in short it's a birdies paradise............. and how do they reward me ?

Yep, they deposit most of the food and water on my car
