Flickr on the other hand asked peeps to upgrade if over a certain amount or to remove images if over storage. They did inform peeps long before this was implemented, either by email or on their own site. Flickr doesn't splatter advertising all over their site and it costs a massive amount of money for online storage. It has to be paid for somehow Considering the price for the unlimited storage, as a photographer it is an absolute bargain for using it is a 'cloud based' storage backup. I'm happy to have gone 'pro' for what it gives me. I also use Apple's cloud based storage as well but that costs more than Flickr! https://blog.flickr.net/en/2018/11/0...s-1000-photos/

Makes perfect sense when you put it like that Jeff, I’m more of a point & press type photographist but I’m also quite sentimental & like to keep them all

Morning everyone
We have blue sky but a very cold wind. Torrential rain and gale force winds in the night again.

Flickr on the other hand let it be known to all their members what their long term plan was. It was originally set up as a site for Togs to share and store their work as a community. When Yahoo took it over it kind of lost it's identity. SmugMug are a 'proper' photographers online company and are now working to put Flickr back on track as to it's original purpose. That will upset those that were just dumping everything on there to use purely for image hosting purposes and don't use it for the community based site that is intended. For the photographers who do though it makes sense. It's lovely to not have adverts bombarded at you and to be able to share images in photographic groups within the Flickr eco system. Also, Pro members are given price discounts for their continued support/use of the site. So far, for mass storage of uncompressed images on Flickr it is a bargain. Hope that continues. Having said that, I guess before they implemented the charges 'Free' was even cheaper

I haven’t got anywhere near 1000 photos anyway, I have moved all or most of my photobucket pics to the computer anyway.

Good morning one and all - brrrr! it's COLD out there. It's actually a bright, sunny morning but the temperature is struggling to get above zero, and the forecast is for hail showers throughout the day.
In other words - a bit more like Winter should be

Well I got the finishing touches done to my engine this morning in the relative warmth of my workshop, lunchtime came & instead of going for lunch I decided to put my coat on & brave the cold outside & pop the engine back in the car........I must have fought with it for over an hour trying to get it to mate back up to the gearbox, anyway after a few choice words, some of which I invented on the spot it eventually popped in, began the laborious task of bolting it back in & plumbing it & bolting in the ancillaries & the snow started, a few little flurries at first but then a proper belting about 2 o’clock. I persevered but the cold finally got the better of me so I gave in for today.
