Default Parking sensor sounder

Help please. 53 plate 75. I had a replacement ipk fitted with a good line free screen so I could use my low line sat nav the ipk was verginized and is all working as it should. I now have lost the sounder for the parking sensors, they are all working as I have listened to clicking from al four sensors. I have sourced a sounder and a black ecu. I have looked under the rear parcel shelf and there is no plug there. So were can I cut into to get it to work ? Many thanks in advance Chris

What part number instrument cluster have you fitted? Beginning with YAC followed by 6 digits? Early part number instrument clusters dont support parking sensors on later cars. The sound for the sensors on later cars comes from the sounder in the instrument cluster. Only the early cars had a seperate sounder under the rear parcel shelf.

Does the sounder on your cluster work? Does it bing if you leave your headlights on for example?

Hi Chris.
Drop Jamie a PM i am sure he will be able to help, if you are going down the route of adding a speaker i have one spare in the shed, i fitted mine in the boot under the shelf on my MGZT when i had it.

I added a rear bumper with sensors as my car did not originally have them the wiring was present in the car, so once loom was fitted i just spliced into the car loom for the speaker

Cheers Steve for the quick response. It was Jamie that did the ipk swap for me late last year with an ipk I supplied all done to my very grateful satisfaction as I now have a low line sat nav that I can see the screen properly it’s just I’ve lost the sound from the revers sensors, I’ve got a speaker and a black ecu just in case but no wear to plug in. And would like to splice in to the wireing to rectify the very small problem. Hop you are well all the best Chris

It was just an eeprom swap over, no virginising . I'll check rave for which wires go to the sounder if you want to add one in the back.

Wait, should I be careful saying that I can swap the eeproms over or will I have to pay trader fees to say that...

Chris as you and I know Jamie is one of the good guys, he as just returned with my PC tower after picking it up from mine two hours earlier, where upon he as sorted out mu hard drive, with out losing any of my docs or photo's as it was old and getting glitchy, even though I back it up on an out side hard drive its nice to know your property is in good hands, car or otherwise and all FOC

Pin 2 and pin 8 of the car side of the loom . I don't mind helping! You may have to add the pins, but they should be same as most of the plugs in the car.

Car - Speaker

Pin 8 - Pin 1
Pin 2 - Pin 2
