How difficult the job really is down to how bad the headlights are, I know this is an obvious statement, but fairly recently my wife had an old Corsa, it was dreadful.
I must of used most products on the market. Looked at YouTube vids and seen how quick and easy everyone seemed to restore their headlights, but, this was so bad I was considering replacing them.

In the end I used 1500 grit wet and dry, and finished up with some that was over 2000 grit, I'm not sure, but it might have been 2500.
Then after that, I then got the polish kit back out and an electric drill to really get them to clear up.
Then, I sprayed them over with clear lacquer. You can ( and should ) use the type that doesn't deteriorate from U.V. light rays from the sun. But in the 18 months or so we had the car standard lacquer held up just fine.

Roll on to when I bought my ZT. The headlight were looking pretty rough, and I though oh no, here we go again, but I've just used the polish kit and they've come up ok.
Yes I think they could be better if I spent more time, but I've not needed to resort to wet and dry. I keep using regular car polish on them every time I wash the car, and so far so good. I've not even sprayed any lacquer on these.

Try this below it worked great on my lights 12 months later they still look like I only did them yesterday.

Keep everything nice and wet when doing the job, and you should get a result like this below.

Also did these MGZT ones.

Remove the lights from the car to do a good job, also use the clear sealant that comes with the kit, add this in a dry dust free area, it takes at least 12 hours minimum do dry, personally I would wait 24 hours for it to harden off, in that time resist from touching the lens.

I've used that sealey kit. The uv protection did not come out as clear as yours, more streaky but it is cheaper then the 3m kit.

perhaps use the sealey to clean and a spray to seal is the way to go....for me

When the YouTube pundits tell you how quick and easy a job is, take it with a large pinch of salt. Restoring badly oxidised headlamps is never quick and easy.
