Apparently it can happen to the best of us. My sister in law was driving back from the coast with her husband when the aux belt snapped on their silver Landy. What was unusual was how a local lurking in the bushes at the side of the road just happened to have a belt and was able to do the change. I think they were very lucky.......

And just for a change, it’s raining. Yesterday the weather was glorious and today, well never mind.

Off to the breakfast meet at Endsleigh Garden Centre this morning. Meeting up with Allen who is taking Ratty, and I’ll be in Banana.

The locals out in the bush are friendly and they will try and help if they can. If you came here, you would be revered for being older, having no hair and a big beard

The thing is Andy, with your special knowledge and skills in mechanics, you know what your doing and you have the tools. On my next trip to the UK, I will be picking up a timing belt kit for the 4X4. Dayco and Gates kits with the tensioners are very expensive in Kenya.
