I'll have you know that the moths in my wallet are of scientific interest. They are older than woolly mammoths

What a lovely Spring sight of snowdrops flowering. I've been in the greenhouse this morning to do some tidying up of pots ready for the planting season & the Allium bulbs I planted in Autumn are now showing.

Well it looks lime I may as well close the lounge for the night, seeing as I'm chilling on my own and there are no loiterers.

A great innings and also one of reasonably good health too. Looking at my own family, friends and relatives very few have made it past their early 80s and dementia in its various forms has taken its toll on those who have. I think 94 (and just 94 at that) is the record for a member of my family to live and that was very much the exception. My mum lost her mum when she was only 8 years old and at that age she will have been excited as Christmas was only a few short days away. But a happy Christmas was replaced with her mum's funeral on Christmas eve of 1933 and her mum was only 25 when she died.

Had a bit of sad news this evening. My grandmother passed away today. Fortunately i am told it was very peaceful and she had a good innings as she had made to the ripe old age of 110. RIP Nan.
