Car is running well but getting loud knocking over the speed bumps. My neighbour mechanic says the dampers and drop links are O.K. He thinks it may be steering rack. Is there anyone close by to confirm problem before i order new rack.

Check the front lower arm rear bushes for play first more than likely this than the rack.
