Default Injector refurb?

Hi, can anyone recommend a reliable injector refurb service.(I live in South Wales)
My car has been missing a cylinder on tickover and at low speed.A diagnostic check said number two injector fault. The injector was removed but destroyed in the process.I obtained a supposedly good item on eBay but the fault persists so I now feel I need a guaranteed good injector to swap around.
My local auto factor can do an exchange for an exorbitant £130+ vat but I don’t want to pay that!
Any suggestions? Thanks...

http://www.lynxdiesels.com heard good reviews about them unsure of costs but you can send it off and get it looked at.

£130 to £180 for a guaranteed refurbed or new injector is about the going price down this end of the world. I can recommend Lynx Diesels but I think you'll find the price is about the same

did you replace the copper washer when swapping out? But I would be looking for other potential problems if the same exact issue occurred on replacement. I remember seeing an episode of Wheeler Dealers with a TD6 Range Rover (very similar to a CDTi) that had a damaged wire in the loom. It was diagnosed by checking for fuel spraying into a bottle (a dangerous process if you dont know what you are doing). A T4 diagnostic I imagine will be more specific to the fault though.

There will be someone more knowledgeable along soon.

Can you move the number 2 injector to a different position and see if the problem follows the injector?

Cheers,
Glenn

Could be a tad risky, given that the original number two injector was destroyed getting it out.

Then again, the new #2 has only been in there for a few minutes compared to the original #2. Now, #3, that could be a whole other story.

Yep no problem at all getting number 2 out, but it may be a problem freeing up another hole to put it in.
