Cool, the obvious question........has it made any difference to cabin noise levels?

I sound proofed my V6 a couple of years back.
We had purchased a new mattress for the bed then we didn't like it so I cut it up and used the soft filler (not the foam stuff ) and stuffed the rear arches and around the spare wheel area. It made quite a difference, in fact I am going to do the same with the XF soon as it's a lot noisier than the 75 when travelling with the seats down. |

Are you doing this for ICE or for noise reduction?
If the latter - you'd get much better results using the right tools for the job - e.g. mass loaded vinyl or foam etc rather than a traditional panel stiffener (e.g. dynamat). EDIT - any excuse for a picture: Silent Coat deadening + carpet underlay: More info here - http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=179726 Last edited by Jakg; 10th April 2016 at 20:22.. |
