Hi Everyone,
I'm really pleased that a number of you are going to make it to Dalemain on Sunday. Sorry for not posting before, we were away last weekend, and am now sorting out everything ready for the event this weekend.

We will be parking in the main carpark at Dalemain, so just follow the signs into the property and with a little bit of luck we will be able to park up together in one area. There will be a group of us heading up through Bowness and then over Kirkstone Pass, and I envisage getting to Dalemain between 11.00 and 11.30.

As John has mentioned on the initial post I have managed to arrange a discounted entry at Dalemain, £7.00 for House and Gardens or £5.50 for Gardens only. These prices are per person, not per car I'm afraid. The only thing is that I need to pay in one go for us all to get the discount. If possible I would therefore like to collect the money once we get there and then I'll go and sort out the tickets for everyone. If you arrive much later I'm afraid you may have to pay the full entry price which is £2 extra for either ticket.

As those of you who have managed to get to the Cumbrian Rover Rally in the past this is very much intended to be an informal get together. There is no voting / awards or anything, just a chance to meet each other, enjoy Rovers (and MG's) of various ages, and look round somewhere I hope you will find of interest.

The forcast is looking promising at the moment, so hopefully it will be a little less damp than it was at Brockhole last year!

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

Paul

ps The RSR & Rover P4 Drivers Guild 'Lakes Rally' will be taking place in September, including a visit to Holker Hall. This is the much larger rally which takes place and includes voting and trophies etc. I'll let John know more details later

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for the heads-up,the weather for Sunday is looking very promising,up to now, there are 6 names down, how many in your group?do we have the 12,really looking forward to this one.
Ronnie [Suzublu] & I, possibly RPWC, are meeting at Rheged around 10.30am,if we are first there, are we allowed to sort spaces so we are all together,or are there spaces in the car park already allotted,it just remains to say, many thanks for allowing us to join with you all, hopefully we can make this a regular event,as well as the larger one in Sept, for us to participate in.
May I also be allowed to return the compliment by asking would you & other RSR & P4 Guild Members be available on 31st July for our 2nd meet to be held at Gretna [hopefully to become an annual event]details of which are in the the Scottish Region on the events page.
Once again Paul, many thanks, see you all Sunday.

Best Regards.

John.
