If anyone is worried........don't......above all else just remember "Relax it's a Rover"

I normally cover anything between 500 and 1500 miles per week in my ZT, and I expect it to be just as reliable on this road trip as any other.

We are going to have a brilliant time !!

Yes Bri. I feel the same . Hope I am not tempting fate but when we go to the Loire in France we usually cover around 2000 miles or more altogether. Never had any problems.Probably covered over the years on the continent around 25/30,000 miles, all in Rovers, and, (bends down and kisses the floor) Nothing has ever gone pear shaped. As you say it’s only the same as covering the same distance over here, except you are on the RIGHT hand SIDE of the road.

I'm thinking of maybe driving to Amsterdam on the Saturday for a day out there, prebooking parking online. As far as I can see there isn't any low emission zone or anything like that which prevents me from driving my 53 plate diesel ZT there? Anyone know more about driving in Amsterdam?
Hi,

I just checked on the site of the municipality of A'dam, seems that for cars there are untill end of this year no restrictions. But be aware, a crowdy city and sometimes parking tarifs up to 7,50 euro an hour!
check these links:
https://www.amsterdam.nl/en/parking/
https://www.amsterdam.nl/parkeren-ve...rkeertarieven/

or this one for the emission zone:
https://www.amsterdam.nl/en/traffic-...-emission-zon/
ONLY FOR TRUCKS
and
https://www.amsterdam.nl/en/search/?...current_page=1

Maybe concider visiting the Zaanse Schans, although a bit of driving.

Just as a question: everybody has a sticker for their headlight beaming?

It would be nice to know others plans as a group meal would be good or we could end up fragmented around the area.
I know this restaurant has very good food in Boxtel, but reservations are nessesary.

Good point I must look for mine..

Have you thought about getting the train to Amsterdam Rick looks to be as quick as driving and I'd be happy to do a drop off and pick up from Den-Bosch for you.

If you wanna check the entire public transport system, we have a special website for this: https://9292.nl/en (it is already set to English). It doesn't just give trains, but also busses.

Please rememeber that the use of the public transport requires you to either buy a special toerists card, or have a transport card. You need to use this card (with a chip in it) to scan when entering the station and when leaving the station. To be honest, very much un-toerist-friendly .

Amsterdam is expensive to park, and a hassle to navigate. But it might well be worth the visit. As are many other cities obviously. Close to Boxtel you can find the War Musuem, Efteling (amusementpark) and the Dunes (literally just dunes with some forest around it) to just name a few.
