I wonder if DOES do more than the 381, then? Thats great news - the first reported working occurence in a 75/ZT!

Be interested in the complete range of the figures given as you drove... and what you think is the thing we are after .i.e. should it rise a lot from idle, or should it be more constant? The lb/min (and conversion to kg/hr in the link further up the thread, along with the MAF graphs) and Rons MAF measurements from his site - no units! - dont really seem to "link" at all....

WELL, mine DOES read the MAF readings, so I guess this U381/581 version (mines v4.5) has been corrected, perhaps from Ron's earlier contact?
So if you have an earlier version, upgrade your software online from www.memoscan.cn!

I'm going to start a new thread for comparative live data readings for the diesel.

My MAF+MAFAM readings (lb/min) are 1.776 (idle) - 19.1 (4k revs + ish), with a new xpart £70 maf - i.e. the "replacement" for the Bosch - that doesn't work after 10,000 miles except with MAFAM on low, when it seems fine.

Finally remembered to take the 581 with me today and note some MAF readings (these are for yp53 - Nov 2003 CDTi Tourer):

Ambient air temp = 41deg.F / 5deg.C
Coolant temp = 180-185deg.F/ 82-85deg.C
Standard air intake & MAF
TU3B setting 5

First set is 'no load' (engine revved with car stationary)

650rpm (idle) : 1.718lbs/min
1000rpm : 2.4lbs/min
1500rpm : 3.6lbs/min
2000rpm : 4.75lns/min
2500rpm : 6.2lbs/min
3000rpm : 7.9lbs/min
3500rpm : 9.5lbs/min

Second set is under load (driving on level road) - these figures are approximate as a) they vary with load and b) I needed to watch the road as well

1000rpm : 2.4lbs/min
1500rpm : 3.7lbs/min
2000rpm : 5.5lbs/min
2500rpm : 7.5lbs/min
3000rpm : 9.8lbs/min
3500rpm : 12.9lbs/min

max at full throttle = 14.9lbs/min (standard air intake)
max at full throttle = 18.9lbs/min (intake duct disconnected from air filter housing)
