Default Required urgently, plastic connector for door lock mechanism

Hi Guys Hope someone can help out,I have just had to change the left rear door locking mechanism due to actuator failure. Everything went fine until it came to refitting Exterior handle rod release. Then an important plastic fitting decided to split!!!
The rod comes from the interior locking mechanism ,connecting to the exterior handle internal activator by small plastic fitting(photo attached yellow arrows indicate said fitting).)The plastic fitting is not very large ,comprised of a short channel section to hold rod with a clip on the end to connect to external doors internal activator.
