Default Nearside wing mirror

Hello,
My elderly neighbour has a 2004 Rover 75 1.8 Connisseur SE saloon.

He has had a bit of trouble and sheared off the nearside (left) wing mirror. Can you help?

It has sheared where the post meets the door. There is a number on the casing - 015514. I don't know if that is any help? I suspect a whole new unit is required. The outer casing has a mirror finish.

Can anyone suggest where I might be able to obtain one, new or used? The local dealer is no help, and Rimmer Bros are out of stock.

Does anyone break Rover 75s, do you know?

Thanks, Paul

Pm Mickyboy. He has most things, but is not currently trading because of the lockdown. Also MGR South Devon are still operating - In Traders section on this site. Good luck. Geoff

There are 2 types of mirror, scullcaps and bullets, the former being fitted to later models
bullet
scullcap

The type you need is the scull cap type as that was what was fitted to that year model.
I trawled ebay for you but no one has one. Usually I can find them in our local breakers, but they are both on lockdown at the moment.
I might possibly have one on a car but as I only go into work after 5.30 (I do the night shift to social distance myself from our day staff) I will not know until tomorrow evening.
We are still sending out parts, so if I have one I will let you know.
