Its not much faster than the 131 in my car, but there is a noticeable power increase - especially 2000-3000 rpm.
EDIT** with the new under bonnet fuel pump, new MAF and PCV pipe actually connected it Flies! Great power and torque from 1500 rpm up to 4000 rpm like any new diesel... Thanks Phil T4 - I would never have thought to change the fuel pump....

The main difference is it now drives like a modern diesel, whereas before it just didn't feel right.

From 116 to 131 to 160 in just over a year - what a transformation.

Phil also gave the car a good going over and confirmed I need a new MAF and I have a slightly low fuel rail pressure under load. Maf is unplugged for now but i'm getting a new Bosch one next.

All CDTi's should have this map... its how it was supposed to be
Cant wait !!!!! Going to see Phil on Friday

My fuel pump was under delivering to the mechanical high pressure pump... with that and the duff MAF replaced it really does go a lot better well worth it

Hi Phil,

My Tourer is on 115 bhp, and a bit sluggish. Can you help with a remapping to upgrade things?

Since the girlfriend lives in Milton Keynes, it would be an easy trip to yours a Olney.

Thanks,

Giles

Hi Giles.
I think you will find that Phil does not do the 160 upgrade anymore, well not at the moment anyways, so you would need to contact one of the other T4 Guru's whom could help you. Brian, Big Russ, Trikey.

I think any of them can do it by post, but it is best if you could take the car to them then a full T4 test can be run at the same time.

Make sure your car it at it's best also if you can by that I mean give it a full service before, if not do it right after.

Trikey did mine recently, absolutely brilliant.
Drives much nicer and better fuel economy. Basically how the cars should have come from the factory.
Let's face it a 16v two litre should be more than 131bhp, I do wonder if the hand of BMW was behind the low outputs
