Default windscreen washers not working

I can hear the pump, but no water through the bonnet sprayers?

There is a filter in the screenwash tank outlet which gets gummed up with gunk. You can access it by undoing the front of the offside front wheel arch liner. Pull the pump out (will empty the tank), filter is part of the grommet the pump nozzle fits in. Clean the filter in warm soapy water and flush the tank with hand hot water with a touch of bleach in it then run copious amounts of clean water through it then reassemble.

respectfully ask the obvious, have u filled the water container?. can u see water in filler neck?. power is there. no water leaking onto floor?. have u tried checking jets are clear, try a pin clearance. I think it well known our forum that slimy muck forms in the bottle and blocks the pump and outlet pipes. try hosing out from the tap, may break it up and out of the filler neck to work. otherwise u have to jack up the car under the drivers wing fiddle behind the under shield, pull off pipes, pull out the pump and hose it out from there.good luck peter

All sorted thanks. It was the small filter- gummed up with solidified screenwash: slimy blue deposits! Jets of water go over the top the car now!
