OH no !!Not again!!!
My wife has just come back from Guisley shopping center crying. I can only describe the incident has totally reckless on the part of another driver in the Shopping complex car park who has pushed the Rover into another car , culminating in damage to the front and rear bumpers of our car and damage to a 3rd vehicle. Fortunately T K Max witnessed what happened and the driver of the car has left their number. TK Max has the number plate of the perpetrator. Been in touch with the driver who says his foot slipped whilst maneuvering backwards. He is to go through his insurance, which means I will have to.
Good news is I need a rear bumper and the damage is over the top of previous self inflicted damage . Front bumper is cracked and damaged beyond repair, but no other damage from what I can see. Going through the insurance will probably result in a write off, but with damage to replaceable bumpers and a spray job it won't in my case! Seems my Rover attracts accidents as its been bumped and repaired on every conceivable panel now! Does anyone on here have any experience of a similar incident where your Rover is worth less than any repair, such as a bumper replacement. I have spent around £1500 on the car in the last 12 months and do not want to let it go for a small run of the mill car with no character. As you can see the car was bought new and has given good service. It would be a crime to let it go just because of someone's recklessness driving in a car park!Lets hope Direct Line lives up to their advertisement on TV! I had the same a couple of weeks ago with a drunk driver hitting my neighbours car and pushing it into ours...
again just a front bumper but yes a write off so told the insurance company not to bother and repaired with a spare I had and a weekend to paint it...

Even if they wright it off you should still be able to but it back, just don't leave it at a compound for assessment, it'll never be seen again
If you can find the parts relatively close I'll be happy to fetch them in my Tourer for you |

Ive got all my cars except the zt on third party ie covers any damage to other drivers if my fault but not my car.
Given the value of these cars currently seem the way to go and alot cheaper. |

A while back I was hit on the M6, the driver admitted full responsibility and contacted his insurer Direct Line. They were great with me, I got a free courtesy car, and great service from them. HTH John.
