It may sound slightly odd, but I have nothing but praise for Rimmers.

The RRP for prices is indeed set by XPart - with the huge catalogue of parts they have it wouldn't be feasible for Rimmers to work out the absolute 'lowest' price they can afford to sell at - the only reason we can is our limited portfolio.

Why would praise sound odd?

Rimmers have served us classic and not so classic car owners for years. A quick phone call to them when placing an order on big ticket items can reap significant rewards, In addition pricematch works very well too.

I have nothing up here in term of ex dealers or people prepared to stock items and rely on them and of course guys like you too

Anyone who expects to buy a 10p washer and then moans about the post for £10.00 needs to think about the whole process and costs of running a business.

Default Rimmers

Rimmers are a business and I believe that they serve us well, I have never had a problem with them, and they have most of the parts we require, especially things like the little clips, and most of all they support this forum and were the only company who donated some prizes for a meet we had last year

I use them and will continue to use them

Stu

Default Rimmers

Being in NZ Parts are not easy to find,i have numerous cars which 6 are rover R8s all turbos, 220 GTIs and 220 coupes and Rimmers are just superb and I have used them for the last 8 years prices are keen and delivery time is great so is the shipping price on most items,Pthey offer bargains every now and again so i tend to stock up,i also have 2 1999 x rover 75s 2.0v6 and 2.5v6 which i love and lucky for me my son works for a well known mg specialist here in auckland so he has become quite a specialist with the 75 so between him and Rimmers i am covered.also rust is not a issue here in the north island so body parts are in great condition and plentiful as most people end up scrapping their 75 especially if it needs the 3 timing belts and thermostats as main rover dealers want between 3-3500nzd for doing these 2 jobs which is such a shame as the mediocre cars don't fetch this much,i want to get a v8 and keep looking in the uk but i am worried about the rust issue as i spent 35 years working on cars there and most parts needed the oxy torch to get things apart, also there is a guy in uk mark i think his name is and he does great deals on genuine rover parts

I recently bought two drivers door windows for about half the price of one. Well pleased

This would be handy if you have rotten sills, or badly patched ones

£120 isn't too bad a price

Default Rimmers

Rimmers have just announced a 15% discount period on Rover parts to coincide with the forthcoming Roverfest event. I received a postcard flyer this morning and checked by e-mail that ZT's were included which they have confirmed.
