Default Vented rear discs question

I have a 2001 ZT 160.

Would it matter if I replaced the rear discs with non-vented discs?

Currently they are vented but they need replacing with the pads - when I got the parts from Rimmer Bros I’d ordered non-vented?

Certainly don’t drive the car hard but other than needing cooling properties, would there be any fitment issues and caliper problems as I realise the vented discs are obviously thicker.

If so I’ll have to return and swop them

Thanks in advance

As long as the dimensions are the same, particularly the thickness, they should be fine, just read it again, you state the vented ones are thicker (understandably) the pads or caliper could be different.

I'm sure someone more in the know will be along shortly

Yes Robert, you'd need to buy two new calipers as well!

Darn it

Thought as much - I’ve ordered vented ones now

I’ll send others back - postage costs wasted but hey ho - cheaper than callipers and carriers 😏
