If it doesn’t leak then repair it. Rad makers can provide you with new inners to fit. Not sure if its cost effective to do so for a k series turbo because as you know the water needs to be well cooled or risk losing the head gasket, but it is sure worth having a look into it if during the present times, you are suffering a Simple Red time of Money to Tight to Mention, like most of us.

Update...................... Got the car put back together and Ian from https://www.auto-chill.co.uk arrived this morning to regas the system. He pressure tested first before filling, I now have freezing cold aircon, fully working Highly recommended for any one in the North East region
