From what I've read the initial run is for the UK only although that car looked to be left hand drive!

They're launching it in India too and installing all UK /India MG dealerships with fast chargers. https://insideevs.com/news/357990/mg...ging-stations/

Just wondering as the car is registered to Luxembourg and on test in the Netherlands.

Either way it looks a great car

There was a ZS EV in the Horsham dealership last weekend.

From their Facebook page "Horsham Car Centre"

Hello cheeky! This weekend we're very fortunate to have the new MG ZS-EV in our showroom! Boasting a new look interior, panoramic sunroof and of course the all electric drivetrain that'll allow this fantastic value for money SUV to really stand out. Pop in and have a look or call for details "

So... MG will match the government's £3500 plug-in car grant for the first 1000 ZS EV buyers in the UK, that's pretty impressive.

Does anyone know if the battery is included in the price, or is there a battery leasing scheme available?

The battery is included, only Renault have a leasing scheme for their BEV's which you can buy outright from them if you want to.

Thanks Ian, and it looks like MG will warranty the battery for seven years...

Its certainly a massive step forward for MG to build a SUV size EV, I reckon it will do well... I will wait for the price to come down some more before we take one for a test drive.

Morning Wes, Yes I agree it will sell very well at this price, It looks to have decent spec for the price too, Most of the BEV offerings by the EV manufacturers to date have only really been catering to affluent buyers.

It's good to see MG bring this ZS ev out at this price point. the price of new BEV's for "Mass market" buyers are slowly coming down to match new ICE vehicle prices.

Lots of new models coming out next year 2020 too by the PSA group & VW.

A few people on EV forums are complaining about the range of this MG saying it should be 200+ miles in this day & age but for my needs 163 (I think) would be no problem and I'd only need to charge it once a week.

I'm going to go and have a shuffty at my nearest MG dealer when they arrive in the showrooms in September for a closer look for future reference. It would be nice to have an MG sat on the drive.

I've only seen the petrol version of this MG ZS from a distant and I cant make up my mind whether it would be too big for our needs or not

This Kia Niro hybrid CUV I have is the perfect size and not too big. great for getting in & out of with my dodgy back
