Default Odd light issue

Happy New year peeps

So, a random thing happened today, I turned on my front fog lights and instead of the usual symbol showing on the computer, the 'passenger airbag disabled' sign illuminated instead!
Rear is working as it should.

Has anyone got an idea what is wrong?

After all the recent rain is your plenum dry - your ECU may have taken a shower ?

Does your airbag light go off with the foglights, or is it now on all the time? As there are sensors under the carpets, if like mine, they are damp, it may be coincidence that the airbag light came on at the same time as your foglights switched on.

Just a thought, have you had new dials fitted? the warning/info lights are not all the same format

It does have a sunroof so I suspect you're probably right, it does go off when I turn the fogs off.

I think all models have this child seat feature. I believe its written into the coding for the dealer to deactivate the airbag when needed

:Let me try this again, have you had new dials fitted, some of the logos are different on different IPK's it could be that the correct light is being illuminated but the wrong logo/filter is in place.
look at this video it appears to show fog light emblem where yours is airbag

Those are definitely aftermarket faces on the Op's IPK and that particular warning symbol is not present on any IPK variant that I've come across.
In fact it's also the wrong colour that symbol would either be red or yellow not green

As Dave says that is the fog lamp warning, it's just the overlay that's wrong

Hmm, I'm even more confused

As far as I'm aware they're just standard MK1 ZT shiney white gauges with a 75 chrome ringed overlay.
I think i might see if Rick can take a look over them.
