According to one of the many experts that frequent Facebook a T4 doesn’t touch the ews and cannot program a transponder.

Is this correct or just a comment from an expert?

I can tell you with absolute certainty being a T4 owner that T4 can only program the alarm remote system, the transponder is done differently using EWS editor, should you need the transponder coded I would suggest contacting MarinaBrian Bigruss I’m not sure if tricky can do it, but I think CBChris can

Almost correct, T4 can of course talk to and programme the EWS, T4 can talk to every single system on the car

Transponder programming is another matter, and dealt with using other equipment

I've got both, and have done both for many years now

It was myself that made then comment. When I said it didn't touch it it was in regards to programming a key to start the car, as that is what the conversation was about. If you wish to program a transponder yourself however, you can use the below items. You will also need a TS30 torx bit to remove the EWS. The removal of the EWS is the most time consuming part!

It’s a bit difficult to understand sometimes what is fact and what is drivel on fb hence the question on here, cars get scrapped for the wrong advice given.

Hi Jamie.
Big thank you for popping round this morning & sorting out the RM screen for me it works a treat with the T4 now.

Also great to have a drive in your BM Tourer I want one I am also going to definitely have the rear window coded in much better than just having the whole tail gate opening, see ya soon well before the meets start anyways cheers Arctic.

No problem at all! Glad all is working. The E61 is one very nice car . Especially with the 3L M57TU2.

Give me a shout when you want me to sort the ZCS coding out to enable that and I'll swing by
