Default Petrol Crisis! What Petrol Crisis?

Genuinely needed fuel on the way home from work, no fuel at my local Esso so having to grab some groceries drove to Tesco to find cars out onto the main road

30 minutes later I'm refuelled.

Catching the news for the first time today I see the Right Honourable Maude is announcing on the news to stock up with jerry cans and no industrial action even announced yet!

Good call

Last attempt to rake in some valuable tax revenue before the end of the financial year perhaps?
Ooh cynical...

Keep a jerrycans in the garage...
Just shows how removed from average people he is
Lots of people don't have a garage
And don't have a jerrycans either
Not to mention storing petrol being hazardous
So this is what it has come to
Being lectured to by a toff who is a twit to boot

I'd love to see Francis Maude queueing in the traffic to fill his car up......oh wait, he has his chauffeur do it for him.

We filled up at Morrisons this afternoon, around 4:00 so not at the sort of time that folks would be coming out of work, and they were queuing three/four/five deep at all 12 or so pumps (didn't see any fights though!)

Thing is, even if there is no strike, the media (and MPs so it seems) are already stirring things up which means panic buying has already begun.....

Filled up at BP Gatwick at around 6.30pm today. no queues, no problems. and the price was the same as at my local Esso garage in Rochester (diesel, 147.9p). Put in £80 worth, which will last me about a week.
