I remember a discussion on here relating to this very item (I think). at the time members believed it to be a Land rover sleeve, as did I. In all fairness I believe he did not list it as genuine but machined to fit a 75 as you said. He may have been astounded as to the bidding, or not suprised, because from what I understand people including club member/s have actually bought and re sold them for the price you paid. They to listed them as Land rover I think, I know they did not list or try to pass them off as genuine.

I did buy several myself, I modified them for free and forwarded them to international members for what I paid (£10), because the original seller would not ship outside the UK. I also fitted several for free.

Ebay is full of it, esp all these sellers in hong Kong that sell "genuine" items. As others have already said, its not often u pick up a bargain on eBay anymore, its best to check around. I think ebays fees have started to price then out against sites like amazon, u also have to watch postage fees from some of these sites. Buy an item for a few quid then pay 10 quid postage!

Agree, many times not received items from Hong Kong...
can not say anything bad about sellers from Germany.
About seller from UK... good too... but in one case I bought black window tint for my 75 and it was very low quality, paid about 15-20£

Ebay at times can be a bit of a minefield, you take a step and take your chance, but saying that ive been lucky and always got what i wanted, my only real gripe is some deliveries were sent by pidgeon post

Good to see you back poppy, missed your humour

If you can get a Walnut freelander handgrip for £9.99 plus postage then please let me know, as these as far as I have seen cost around the £40-£50 mark from LR dealers.

Ditto!

There was someone posted on here a while back with a similar tale (about how he'd paid a fortune for one off eBay but then went to his local LR dealer who had 50 or so on the shelf......)
