Default is this the correct way?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section but need quick advice

Is this the correct order to wash and polish

1.Wash car
2.Shampoo
3.Clay
4.Super resin polish
5.Wax

Thanks for the advice

In a word "Yes".

There are intermediary stages you could also do:

After washing (using TWO buckets -one to rinse lambswool mitt and one to load it with suds) - then decontaminate paint (get rid of iron filings etc but requires a specialist de-ironiser).
After claying you could then "correct" the paint to get rid of usual swirls and minor scratches (best done with a machine but can be done laborously and less effectively by hand).
After applying polish (I guess you are using Autoglym SRP? This will mask the swirls for a while but they will re-appear) you could then glaze the car (another specialist product)
After glazing you could either apply sealant or wax.

But your method works for a quick spruce up (I spent 8 hours on mine Good Friday doing all the stages I outlined! But I don't use SRP nor do I use wax - I glaze and seal).
