Default Inlet Manifold + EGR

Time coming up in March to change the inlet manifold and egr I have spare. All cleaned and ready to change. So will do the PCV and air filter at the same time also will change Pollen filter while there. So thinking I will change the fuel filter at the same time, would it be a good time to use forte injector cleaner and leave over night at the same time. So in the next couple of weeks will order the parts I need from DMGRS .
Is there any thing else I should be looking at to change while I have the manifold off.

Hi Les.
One of the best jobs anyone should take out on our cars, as you know I always have at least 5 manifold EGR & MAP sensor set up which I take to the meets for members whom wish to do the exchange.
1

When you remove the manifold remove the MAP sensor and give it a good clean with some carb cleaner on a rag, do not poke anything into the air hole.
2

3

This is what I have found when I have removed members manifolds during their service.

4

5

6

Check all vaccum hoses
7

Any fuel hoses that maybe rubbing.
8

Starter motor connections for corrosion and clean.
9

As you say change the air filter and PCV filter while you are in there.
10

11

12

13.

As you are also changing the fuel filter that would be best time to use the
forte injector cleaner straight into the fuel filter, start car for 10 seconds or so and then leave over night, there after use this below every 3 months

Good luck Les if you get struck give me w ring or drop me an email

Thanks, Steve, for the how to and photo's. and offer of help, hopefully I should be OK. I did change the Manifold and EGR last July. So the rest can I can change this time including the pollen filter.

I do use comma diesel injector magic over 3 months to. If I do get stuck it would have to be email, don't have your number. Fingers crossed I should be OK.

All the best for 2020 to you and your family and see you at the next Nano.
