The chunky bolt enlarges the hole in the rubbers slightly but they should be ok.

I've only unhitched the Bosal prongs for the moment - I decided to leave the rubbers on the car's prongs because I won't be able to reach them once the Klarius box is in position (it's much wider than the Bosal back box).

Anyway, a top tip from Arctic!
A washer between the ball and the prong would have stopped it from sliding or wondering I think ?

I tried that but didn't have enough hands to hold everything in position - the washer kept flipping up on the prong.

Three hands would do it.

Maybe drill a counter sink guide hole in the end of the prong then, or a bolt that as a flat end in place of the ball one at least you got it off

After reading this thread, thought I'd put my two penneth in=
I use pump pliers to get the rubber hangers off, with a bit of silicone grease,as I believe washing up liquid is bulked up with salt, which could degrade the rubber.
Also you can get the same items from carparts4less as ecp ,,cheaper, I think they might be the same company.
Regards Ken.

They won't get a brand new WCS100212 off Ken - the rubber is extremely tough and the car's arrowhead is far too wide.

If the Manage Attachments panel opened you must have used the paperclip button instead of the Image Gallery button.

If you want to insert a full size image (like I've done above) use the Image Gallery button and choose Upload an Image in the dropdown menu.

If you just want to add a thumbnail of the image to your post (like I've done below) use the paperclip button.

I think the Image Gallery > Upload an Image method is the best in most cases. It saves people having to click the thumbnail to see the image at its proper size.

How To

  • Copy pic to your PC's desktop and resize it to 900 on longest side.
  • Open any club page.
  • Click Image Gallery button, choose Upload an image.
  • Click Browse button and navigate to pic on your desktop.
  • Click Open, click Host it - pic appears in your gallery.
  • Click on it to enlarge. Right-click on it and choose Copy.
  • Launch a second browser window.
  • Open the web page you want to post in and start a post.
  • Right click and choose Paste - pic is inserted into the post.
  • That's it.
All that might sound like a right old rigmarole but it's not once you've done it a couple of times. The pic remains in the post unless you delete it from your gallery. Any pic in your gallery can be used in any post in any thread.

PS. If you want something that'll resize pics quickly, download and install this - https://www.irfanview.com/64bit.htm ***
  • Open a pic with it.
  • Press Ctrl+R keys, type 900 in width or height box (whichever is showing the largest number) click OK.
  • Go to File menu > Save As - give it an appropriate name - click Save.
  • That's it - you now have a 900 wide (or high) pic ready to upload.
*** In above link, scroll down to foot of page and click on the link I've highlighted below. That's the one you want if you've got a 64-bit computer (you almost certainly will unless it's an old one).
