I tried reaching under the car but couldn't shift the housing bolts. I got the use of a friends pit and found that standard ring spanners did the job quite easily. |

Ramps it would be great to have use of a pit, or even a two/four poster lift. 1 2

New Replacement Arms/Bushes Acquired
How'do Folks
I managed to get a pair of New replacement Front Lower Control Arms and Bushes I opted for Moog branded parts - not sure how they'll hold up - i'm curious to find out tho Cost was a consideration - in hindsight i may have went another direction - I never realised the Moog Arms came with Bushes they are pictured but not mentioned in the description (I had messaged another supplier r.e the same parts however i received no reply and rushed into ordering from this supplier assuming the price would be for Arms only) lol... I have some Meyle Rear Bushes - they look to be better quality to my eye... so maybe a bonus. i'm now 2nd guessing the quality of the Arms however - given the included Bushes and the Cost £95 for both sides (Moog Arms.Bushes) ...albeit a reduced from "RRP" price. some pics Meyle on the Right I guess we'll find out - I'll fit the Arms with the Meyle Bushes. If the finishing of that rubber bush in the first pic is anything to go by, id be residing it to the bin! I reckon the rubber will be of dubious quality...

Aye - almost tempted to fit them, just to see how quick it would fail... the Meyle Bushes seem a lot better quality and are fitted in the housings properly - I've heard Meyle are not what they used to be, but defo better than these "Moog"? Bushes. and, we'll see how the Arms fare - i'd heard Moog were a decent Brand (Federal/Mogul Group) and elsewhere priced around £130 a side - £95 for both seemed a Bargain - judging the Packaging, Brightly Printed Box with little in the way of actual protective packaging material.........along with the Quality of the Bushes.......hmmm... it will be better than what is fitted - may even pass an MOT and get back on the Road - i'll be curious to see how long different parts will last ? what are the predictions ? I'll be Bold - I reckon the Arms (BallJoints) are as Good as what is currently fitted/Failed on the Car (when New) - and the Meyle Bushes are Better. 3 years minimum Paul. Hi Paul. Remember if the arms fail and you try to have them replaced within the warranty it maybe void as you have fitted different bushes to ones that came with them. I have to say though that the Meyle bushes look a lot better than the moog ones which came with the arms, very similar to the Unipart ones. Also look close to the original bushes. 1 2 3
