Hi Trikey
I recently replaced this kit on my car and wondered what the thewhite plastic piece actually does as it was quite tight to put back in place, Should it move freely ? seemed to cure my high revs on startup from 1500 rpm down to 1100 rpm on startup but after a few days has crept back up to 1500 on startup ,Any ideas cheers julian

It is a fairly tight fit, but it should move freely, did you have any build up of debris in there at all?

No bulid up of debris at all just had to really give it a good push in with little force to seat it ,so it should be able to move freely? maybe thats my problem then as im sure it doesnt move once i set it in ?

AS above pointed out by Andy, but here are a couple more photo's for you, its the top piece you need to remove, not the whole throttle body.

I have marked it with two yellow dots & also two blue dots for the Allen key bolts.
1

Push down on the collar and lift out the tube.
2

You can remove the wiring plug in fig 3/4
3

4

Then remove the two Allen key bolts.

Thanks so much. A massive help. I've tried other groups but none are as helpful as this Owners Club. This thread has prompted me to pay up
