What a load of rubbish
Forgive me for being negative but the pictures below are of the DD I inherited with my latest 75. It only works when it feels like it, engages mute for long periods when it likes and can barely find any station on DAB, FM or AM. Sounds tinny too. Very tempted to install the Kenwood from my other car. Only redeeming feature is the reversing camera image looks good on the screen. If I'm missing something maybe I need the manual for it? Can anyone please tell me which model it is?

It looks to be one of the very early Win CE units so will be some years old by now. The DAB is most likely an add on box of some sort and probably not built into the head unit.

Only get Talk Sport on DAB. Funny that as I hate it!

meh, 'proper' car stereos don't loose radio signal when you go under a motorway bridge like these do and at one point I went back to a WinCE one and the rerouting on the satnav took so long it was effectively useless if you missed a turn as it never caught up. My phone finds a new route within seconds and the Symphony I put back in the car never looses a radio signal - put the Kenwood in

Thats the same unit i have in mine......all bar the Dab that is.
Satnav is spot on and the tuning is great. Although i have to admit i thought my tuner was rubbish too........until I realised I have inserted the aerial lead in the wrong hole !!!! |

I have a LITB (£24) it looks good and works well. I mean it plays cd's and the radio works. Not sure I need to be in touch with the world whilst driving. My Garmin clips on in an instant and is reliable. Just been reading about the 'tech' installed in new cars, is it necessary? Must be my age, but I want to enjoy the experience of driving, not fiddling with a tuner and pressing and scrolling a touchscreen. As for the sound quality of these things, remember, it's the quality of the speakers that makes the difference, not the head unit
