£175 is a good price for scrap - with a lot of ringing around and online quotes I managed to get £120 for my diesel tourer back in October.

Well good news every one. My next door neighbor is a mechanic and is buying it off me (got little less than scrap price but a lot less trouble). He needs something with a tow bar and is willing to put the work in to get it through it's MOT.
That's one saved from the scrap yard. Once again thanks everyone for your help Everso |

Thats good to hear, £300 for a years MOT on a 15 year old car to me is not excessive!
