Had the filter out and there is 100% fuel in the tank (on the passenger side at least), although not a massive amount.

Will do some more work on it tomorrow...

Update - took off the blue cap, pushed in the little nib in the middle... nothing came out.

Tried putting more fuel in, but my fuel can only had 0.5L in there so didn't really help, will buy some more tomorrow...

Oh and yes, the belts are turning.

Will try to get my OBD code reader hooked up at some point as well...

Swapped the fuel pump relay for the HRW relay, no change

I tried checking the fuel pump fuse "F20" (although thats no help I'm sure!) and when I removed it the hazard lights came on?!

Might try finding the *thing I just forgot* switch just in case.

The intertia switch isn't the problem. Hit it with a hammer and it went off, reset it and still no starting

Added another £7 of petrol, so it's now just under 1/4 full... still no joy starting it.

Is there now fuel coming out of the Schrader valve (with the blue cap)?

Simon.

Everything seems to point to a faulty pump, which is quite rare. I'd next get an ohm meter and check whether the brushes are open circuit. Here's a diagram.

If the motor resitance is very high/infinite, then it needs replacing. If the resistance is as shown, the fault is elsewhere.

Do have a good look at the wiring beneath the engine bay fusebox leading under the N/S front wing. I have repaired many of these looms now due to corrosion.

The faults they throw up have gone from fuel , ignition, instruments, and ecu.

Also check the continuity of the large master fuse within the fusebox as these will fail with no outward signs.

ECU okay and securely plugged in?
