I'm just a tad wary of the fancy product names they come up with to justify the price !

Ceramic sounds like just another form glaze.
Could be wrong but just saying !!!!

That's the bit I'd miss

Having said that though, I think it would probably be worth getting Mrs Teflons Hyundai treated, as it doesn't get as much loving care from me as it should. Think I'll have to look into it .

If you want it done by the people who are recognised as probably the best in the UK, KDS Detailing in Gillingham, its double that even, £1200 upwards. The newest GTechniq treatment they now use is meant to last 9 years.

Their web-site and Facebook site has plenty of useful videos and information.

It’s a ceramic compound that bonds with the paint hence why the paint has to be scrupulously clean with absolutely no wax or silicone. It dries to an extremely hard ceramic coating that resists scratching and apparently nothing sticks to it. Gone are the days of beading when it rains as even rain won’t sit on it

Personally, I am an advocate for Paint Protection. I am not an advocate for Ceramic Coating.

Why I don't believe in Ceramic Coating for my own cars:
Yes, Ceramic Coatings will last a long time, but they don't last forever.
I think I can get better long-term protection by applying my own sealant once or twice per year.
They are strongly "sold" -- with many dubious claims (e.g. prevent rock chips -- no way a ceramic coating will do that; for that you need PPF). And in my experience, anything that requires such a strong sales effort is not worth the cost.
Info on-line will of course is often biased. BTW the spam links I inserted into my forums posts have been removed and I am now banned.

I concur Oliver.

And it's the same reason I never bought Castrol GTX.
Everyone raved about it being a good oil on the basis it was featured a lot on telly !!

Clever expensive marketing doesn't mean a good product!
